“ About the Author: Aldous Huxley was born in 1894 near Godalming, Surrey. He began writing poetry and short stories in his early twenties, but it was his first novel, Crome Yellow (1921), which established his literary reputation. The author of Brave New World' (published in 1932), Huxley came increasingly to believe that the key to solving the world's problems lay in changing the individual through mystical enlightenment. Huxley died in California in 1963. About the Performer: For many years, Michael York has delighted audiences on both the screen and stage. He made his film debut as Lucentio in Franco Zeffirelli's The Taming of the Shrew, which was followed by over fifty other films including Cabaret, Logan's Run, and the Austin Powers films. His TV work is equally varied and includes The Forsyte Saga, The Heat of the Day and The Far Country. For his service to the Arts he was awarded an OBE.
